Dann würde die Krone des großen Stammes schützend über dem kleinen Stamm und dessen Krone stehen. Das Bild zeigt eine Skizze wie das aussehen könnte. Der Vorteil wäre, dass der "O-Bein Effekt" weniger auffällt.......................................................................... Yes, when I saw your beautiful hornbeam for the first time there was something strange about the small trunk.
Now I see that. You see that too :-) It's the hole in between them. Two branchces above the small trunk will not solve that and I am not mentioning that it does not look so good.

I think that the small trunk should copy the line of the bigger trunk. You can achieve that by moving the small trunk closer to the bigger one. You should probably shorten it, but not so drastically :-)
